This TDF Project is a culmination of work done over 3 months (July 2019 - October 2019) spent in Shillong, Meghalaya. It has been divided into 3 different projects, this being the first.
The objective of this project is divided across two layers:
The first, overall objective of this project was to understand the lives of the farmers of Meghalaya, an otherwise largely unexplored society, and help empower their lives through the help of design.
The second, more macro level objective of this project was to explore the extent of collaboration possible between the world of design and rural development. This is an ongoing question that will need more projects to be answered correctly. For now, this is my first attempt at identifying key areas that needed to be worked on and plausible suggestions given to fix the same.
